14th annual Ground Handling International conference

Ground Handling International will be holding its 14th annual Ground Handling International conference over 26-29 November 2012.

For 2012 we have chosen the dynamic city of Milan. While Rome is Italy’s political capital, Milan is the country’s economic and financial heart and is fed by three international airports and over 100 airlines, making it a very accessible venue.

Milan is recognised as a world fashion and design capital, with a major influence in commerce, music, sport, literature and art, and is home to some of the best restaurants in Italy. Founded by the Celts, it was the capital city of the Western Roman Empire from 286 until 402 AD. Milan subsequently became one of the most prosperous Italian cities during the High Middle Ages and the Renaissance.  Beautiful landmarks, such as the gothic Duomo Cathedral, as well as hidden treasures, like Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper and the twelve-volume Codex Atlanticus, can be found in Milan. The Golden Quad displays all that is fashionable while the many discount outlets cater to the bargain hunters. The city is also the base of both AC Milan and Inter Milan, two of Italy’s top football teams.
