Menzies’ Indian operation unfolds

In May, Menzies Aviation Bobba (Bangalore) commenced cargo handling at Bengaluru.

The operation, a partnership between Menzies Aviation and India’s Bobba Group, began handling freight at its new 170,000 square foot facility at the new Bengaluru International airport in Bangalore. Amongst the launch customers were Air France, British Airways, Gulf Air, Lufthansa Cargo and Thai International Airways.
The opening actually represents the culmination of over 20 months of effort and forward planning by the Menzies Aviation and Bobba Group teams, and includes the installation of a state-of-the-art Hermes warehouse operation system which has enabled Menzies to revolutionise cargo handling processes in India since its initial roll-out at the company’s Hyderabad cargo warehouse facility back in April.
