Alliance continues to grow
Scandinavia-based ground handling company Nordic Aero has become a full member of Aviance with effect from May 2008.
Nordic Aero offers full ground handling services, a de-/ anti-icing service, interior as well as exterior cleaning and owns a GSE workshop. It currently serves 80 airlines at some 20 stations around Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
The handling company is privately owned, with shareholding divided between the company’s founder Jan Brunstedt, the Managing Director and the Finance Director; last year the company had a turnover of €50m. A highly dedicated staff and management offers flexible service solutions to its airline customers and the company further offers in-house training to ensure a safety-minded and able workforce. The company also strives to maintain long term and close relationships with its customers, often in the form of partnerships, for the mutual benefit of the companies concerned.
Nordic’s Arri Kallonen comments: “We are very satisfied to now be a full member of Aviance, a network wherein it is our intention to contribute for the benefit of our customers; but of course we also hope to make new contacts for potential customers. We are very much looking forward to the strength of the network.”
Alain Chapgier, Secretary General Aviance, added: “We are very pleased to welcome our twelfth handling company to Aviance. A well reputed company with long experience and contacts in the Scandinavian countries will definitely contribute to the strength of the alliance.”
