Scandinavian moves
Menzies Aviation recently confirmed its acquisition of Novia Sverige, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Novia Scandinavia.

The acquisition accelerates Menzies’ expansion in Scandinavia and is complementary to its existing operations. Novia is a ground handling business operating in Sweden at Stockholm and Gothenburg airports. It provides full passenger and ramp handling together with de-icing, cleaning and lounge management. The purchase sees the Scottish handling company add Air France/KLM, Cathay Pacific, Continental, DHL, Malaysia, Turkish, TNT, UPS and Fedex to its existing customer base at Stockholm whilst at Gothenburg it will add another eight carriers to its portfolio.
