GHI CARGO NEWS

HERMES lends a hand in Frankfurt
VG Cargo has opted for the HERMES IT solution to manage its range of handling activities at Frankfurt’s Hahn airport.

With an established and growing presence in Germany, HERMES Logistics Technologies already has a secure, efficient and proven end-to-end IT solution to meet the majority of VG Cargo's ground handling requirements. Delivering a comprehensive suite of highly configurable modules, the HERMES solution is easily able to adapt to meet VG Cargo's specific needs, enabling a rapid and agile implementation and allow VG Cargo to achieve optimum benefits quickly.

'With tight timescales and the pressure to make significant changes, the team at HERMES has supplied us with both a flexible and comprehensive solution. HERMES has an in-depth working knowledge of the cargo handling industry and has fully understood our need for change, plus the necessity to provide our customers with a superior level of service. We look forward to reaping the benefits resulting from this collaboration," states Nikolai Dinges, Managing Director, VG Cargo.

With a need for a swift transition from its existing legacy system to a new system, one that will enable enhancement of current working practices whilst delivering a high level of customer service, VG Cargo has found the HERMES solution represents an invaluable combination of regulatory assurance combined with the working knowledge required when dealing with the complexities surrounding cargo handling. Already operational at several sites within Germany, HERMES software is fully compliant with existing local and international regulations.
