Menzies in acquisition mode
Menzies Aviation has acquired Flight Support, the UK-based ground handling business, from Airbase Holdings.

Flight Support is one of a number of independent regional ground handling companies and it handles upwards of 34,000 turnarounds a year. This acquisition by Menzies sees three new airports added to its UK ground handling network, namely those of Aberdeen, the Isle of Man and that of Guernsey. The acquisition should also further strengthen the division's position in Manchester. In terms of its customer base, this acquisition will help its existing relationships with Flybe, easyJet, Loganair and Aer Arran, whilst introducing new customers such as CityJet and Blue Island.
